Terms of service

These terms apply to every order placed on this store. Please read them before you buy. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer in the European Union.

1. Who we are

AVELUNE, Seraphin de Grootestraat 5, 2100 Antwerp, Belgium. Email: avelune.int@gmail.com. This website is operated on the Shopify platform.

2. The products

We sell personal grooming devices. Product photographs are illustrative; small differences in colour or finish between the photograph and the item you receive are possible. Our products are shavers and trimmers that cut hair at the surface. They are not medical devices, they do not use light, and they are not laser or IPL treatments.

3. Prices and taxes

Prices are shown in euro and include VAT where VAT applies. The price you see at checkout, before you pay, is the total you owe; standard delivery is free. If a price is displayed incorrectly because of an obvious error, we will contact you before processing your order and you may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

4. How a contract is formed

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The order confirmation email acknowledges that we have received your order; the contract between us comes into existence when we send you the dispatch confirmation. If we cannot supply an item, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

5. Payment

Payment is taken when you place the order. Payments are processed by our payment providers; we never see or store your full card details.

6. Delivery

Delivery is covered by our Shipping policy, which forms part of these terms. Risk in the goods passes to you when you or someone you nominate takes physical possession of them.

7. Cancellation and returns

Your 14-day right of withdrawal, the hygiene-seal exception that applies to personal care devices, and our returns procedure are set out in our Returns and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Legal guarantee

Every item comes with the two-year legal guarantee of conformity provided by EU law. See our Warranty page for how to make a claim.

9. Using the product safely

Follow the instructions supplied with the device. Do not use a damaged device, and do not use it on broken, irritated or infected skin. If you have a skin condition or any doubt about whether the product is suitable for you, speak to a healthcare professional first.

10. Our liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or under your consumer rights.

11. Use of this website

The text, images and design of this website belong to us or our licensors and may not be copied or reused commercially without our permission. You agree not to misuse the site or attempt to interfere with its normal operation.

12. Your personal data

We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy policy and the GDPR.

13. Complaints and dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, email us first — most issues are settled quickly. If we cannot resolve it together, consumers in Belgium can contact the Consumer Mediation Service (Consumentenombudsdienst / Service de Médiation pour le Consommateur), North Gate II, Koning Albert II-laan 8 bus 1, 1000 Brussels. Consumers elsewhere in the EU can contact their national consumer authority or an approved alternative dispute resolution body.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. As a consumer you also keep the protection of any mandatory rules of the country where you live.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on this page when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
